Convert Frequency

Frequency is a term used to describe how many times something happens in a certain time. For example, the number of times a pendulum moves back and forth can be expressed with a frequency measure. If the pendulum swings back and forth 10 times in one second, the frequency is 10 Hertz.

Frequency measurement has many different uses. For example, frequency in kilohertz and megahertz is used to indicate the frequency of radio waves, frequency in gigahertz is used to indicate the frequency of the processing unit in computers.

Frequency can also be measured in rotations and radians. Rotations per minute are used instead of Hertz if what we are talking about rotates.

On this page, you will find unit converters for most frequency measures.
